Owned and operated by Dan Howell, Blackfoot Builders offers custom and professional building services for a variety of projects, from backyard decks and patios, to remodels, to new construction.

Dan Howell
Born and raised in Kalispell, MT, Dan is a lifelong Montanan and member of the local community. He moved to Missoula in 2009 for school at The University of Montana, where he completed a degree in exercise physiology while working as a wildland firefighter during the summers. After 10 years in wildland fire, including two years on the Helena Hotshots, Dan retired from fire to pursue a career in building.
He started his career with Dovetail, an upscale custom homebuilding company based in Bozeman, before returning to Missoula where he worked as an independent contractor before starting Blackfoot Builders.
Dan always puts the customer first and prioritizes communication and trust in all his projects. Outside of building, he enjoys sand volleyball, hunting, backcountry skiing, and spending time with his wife and friends.
